Augmentation mastopexy progresses under anesthesia. The treatment area is cleaned, incision sites are marked, and incisions are made. The implants are then placed through the incisions into tissue pockets made behind the glandular breast tissue or the pectoral muscles.

There are two types of implants: saline and silicone. Once the implants are placed, the lift part of the procedure is performed. The incisions are then closed, resulting in breasts that are larger and perkier.

The Healing Process

Once your breast lift is complete and you have returned home, a period of healing and recovery will be required. It is important to be up and walking around again on the day of surgery. You must avoid more strenuous activities like heavy lifting and exercise until cleared to do so by Dr. Hamza.

You will need to wear a supportive post-surgical bra without underwire to avoid damaging the tissues of the breasts as they heal. This will help bring down swelling and bruising, as will the use of ice packs. To help with post-operative pain or discomfort, painkillers may be prescribed. Once you no longer need to take these, you can return to driving again.
